Battleship

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the look of the game. It's just that I am pretty sure this is way to complex for a single player. In co-op mode this would be very approachable, but not in single player, at least it would be very very hard. I do have to say that the game looks amazing. The ships seem to have massive power, being upgradeable is a huge positive. The aliens look like shit, but since I'd be shooting them anyway, it doesn't matter that much.

I assume this game could be great. But I am pretty sure that it won't be a hit, let alone a huge hit. But nice damn try, because the concept with this amount of development is pretty rare, not to say that this is kind of the only one. I am a huge supporter of new concepts and designs of games and sadly enough, that is exactly what this game does. Too bad that it probably won't be a hit. Just a guess. Could be wrong.
I give it 20/80 odds. 80 won't be a hit. Ah, well see!

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist

Splinter cell... Well they really seem to have made something this time. The bullet time is simply a must for this type of games. Skilled super soldiers who can only shoot one enemy? That would just be ridiculous!

The climbing looks amazingly sweet, almost as if he's climbing for real, this probably is one of the best movements I have seen so far!

And voice recognition that could actually be functional? Not only to call in air strikes but also to lure and enemy to you. How super cool is it to just say "hey fucker" and when he comes to check it out, do this nice kill move? Nice!

This is something to look forward to for sure!

The game will be available for Xbox, ps3 and pc.

NHL 13!

Playing NHL is an amazing way to get rid of all your aggression and frustrations. It's speed, power and tactics combined. Personally I hate sports games, most of them anyway, but NHL will always have a special place in my fragile heart.

The brutal way of getting to your goal and shooting the puck so damn hard that it appears you just took down the goalie. And the fights... If you don't like someones face, you can just punch the damn thing. Even worse, you can manipulate with whom you have to fight so you can eliminate the better players of the enemy team. That is NHL and I love it!

So here we are, waiting for the release of NHL 13.
EA announced the release to be September 11, 2012 in North America and September 14, 2012 in Europe.
Obviously number 13 will, again, have massive innovations. For example, they generated the physics and speed to match the real thing as close a possible. They call it... wait for it... "true performance skating". Sjeesj! And with that 1000(!) New animations!
Just like every new game they promise a new AI. All the player will be aware of every player on the map (new ?) and thus will have to engage in quicker, smarter and more true-to-life decision-making.

Promises promises, we'll have to wait for September to see what they actually improved.
My opinion? NHL is a great game so why change it, besides graphics ? The 1000 animations is a nice one as well but I'd much rather heard that one of their new features would be a release for pc.

You can't pre-order this one yet so here's the link to 12, for the ones who don't have it yet.

Fable: The Journey

The previous Fable games were just damn great and very detailed in weapons, character and gameplay. Okay, you could finish them quite quickly but fun was guaranteed the whole game long.

This will be a stand alone title, following a different storyline than the previous series, which is totally fine by me. Once a trilogy is finished, it should stay finished. In my opinion it's acceptable if they keep using the same area and concept as long as they don't mess up the previous games by stretching everything as thin as possible!

Players will need to use magic to defeat enemies. This is a kinect game so they will have to make signs in the air to cast different spells. I'm very curious about how the aiming will work because in the gameplay trailer it looks like you don't have to aim. That would be way to easy!

Rumor has it that you will be able to choose between a controller and the kinect and I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that this will be confirmed. It would be a very shitty move from Microsoft to allow only-kinect games. I can't imagine this would be a success for games like Fable, but you never know.

Sadly enough that's about all the information that has been released for now, hopefully more will follow soon!

A specific release date has not been set yet, just Q4 2012, but you can pre-order here.

Halo 4 - EyeCandy From Microsoft

A new trailer for Halo 4. One word: Amazing.

Steel Battalion Heavy Armor - Now Slap Your Comrade In The Face!

Hehe, okay okay, what the hell!
This game could possibly be somewhere between "meh" and "total crap". I'm pretty sure it'll go towards the crap side though.

It looks nice in the trailer, but how in gods name is this even remotely playable?
You have to stand up to look outside? When I play a shooter and hide behind a wall I don't stand up to look once. I stand up, get down, stand up, get down,... just to check and check again. Imagine doing that with this game! Good exercise?
You need to pull handles too, leaving your controller single handed and thus being unable to steer and you have to beat up your fellow tank fellows; that is just... not done...
I would be more enthusiastic if he just pushed him out, if your going wrong, do it right.
I get why the guy in the trailer looks so excited though, I mean, if you barely can see where you are going I would be thrilled as well and after playing for half an hour I'd throw it away and never look at it again. Obviously I don't like it and I probably never will.

I could be wrong, the game could be amazing, but seriously, what are the odds?
Oh and if I wasn't clear, you need Xbox 360 and kinect to play this.

If you still want the game, here's the link for amazon.

Metal Gear Rising - Revengeance

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance; though guy name, though guy attitude, though guy weapons. Raiden, the katana-wielding future high tech soldier with balls of platinum, will show the game world what being a tough guy is all about!
The game focus is this time on action with a major amount of sword cutting. Previous less appealing versions of Metal gear were all sneak and shoot games, which were quite tiring for that very reason. You will however have the option of "ninja dash" a system that makes you stealthy while running and thus able to ambush enemy's.
The game developers say you will be able to enter a bullet state, slowing down time to make precise cuts and do maximum damage or simply because you need to slice a falling enemy multiple times at different sides before he splatters on the ground. The sword fighting system was made really advanced, making you able to parry even when enemies are behind you. Your main weapon will be the blade but our hero will be able to used sub weapons like the dagger. None of the sub weapons will be guns.
As said before, platinum balls.
